Inventor
Inventor is a design software for 3D projects. You have the ability to start with a sketch and turn it into a tangible object. We used this program to create what we call "widgets" and later 3D printed them in the innovation center.
Designer NoteBook Sketches
Our first step in this project was creating our widgets in a 2D way. We took isometric graph paper and copied down these widgets to later put into inventor.
As this was the first unit, it took a lot of effort and a little stress to get through it. I was getting used to working with new software, keeping up on tasks and learning to listen carefully to directions. I worked my way around Inventor and learned how to 3D print using makerbot. The unit was a good way to introduce the class and start off strong.
