Main Piece
Inventor
Creating the main piece of the clock was a very simple design that proved to be very complicated. There was an issue with the wood I had to get from somewhere and the diameter became a challenge but in the end, I figured it out.
Fusion
Getting the piece into Fusion took a long time and three tries but after doing it some many times I feel pretty good about putting it throw the CNC Router. Here is my stock and toolpath.
CNC Router
Using the Router was... interesting. I realized quickly after asking Mr. Willauer for help my plan for the clock was very problematic. Keeping the wood down was an issue and cutting through oak is apparantly harder for the Router to do. Shoutout to Ms. Proctor, Mr. Schumacher, and Mr. Willaur for helping me suceed.

Unfortunetly . . . I did not measure correctly for the mechanism so I had to get some help from Mr. Schumacher in the woods lab. He used the router to cut out the indent you can see on the bottom. Worked really well and left me a good amount of space to attach the mechanism to.

Vinyl
Using the vinyl was my favorite part of this project. It went the most smoothly by far. It was also the quicket and it was very fun to apply. Kind of tedious from all the shapes but went well.
Final
Summary
The final project was overall rough. I definetly learned that asking for help is not only good but necessary sometimes. I had help from three different teachers and multiple students. Very grateful for it but usually I prefer independence and I didn't set my plan up well for that. Mostly, it was stressful and I'm relieved it's over. I put in a lot of effort and time and I think it paid off in the end and I mostly really enjoyed the class. Bittersweet feeling about it being over.
